I completed and submitted the claim form by the end of that week I received a call within hours to say my claim was approved and I could contact the local Nuffield Hospital. They passed me the secretary details for a consultant who specialises in knee surgery. I made an appointment for later the following week. I popped into the hospital for the appointment, and the following week the consultant rang me to say the results showed a meniscus tear and I’d need surgery, and I was asked if could I make it that week. I could not believe that from my first enquiry to surgery was within three weeks. I had several follow-up appointments and physio which also helped my recovery time. I was back playing ice hockey within 6 weeks of surgery. I could not recommend the scheme more highly both in efficiency and cost.”

The scheme provides excellent care for me, my wife and my teenage daughter. In 2023, my wife had a health scare that needed tests in the NHS, which were scheduled to take over four weeks to be done.
